ITEM: You are offerding on an original large vintage 1920s Maxfield Parrish framed fine art print by The House of Art titled of course Stars. This is easily our favorite Parrish print, it is not his most famous work but today examples of Stars such as this; in pristine condition with un-faded deep cobalt blue colors are among his most coveted. Just an amazing old document - featuring a gorgeous nude art deco fantasy maiden gazing up at the evening\'s splendor. This is the largest size this print was available in, the frame appears to be original to this old print, with nice gesso work in the corners and a matching Maxfield Parish cobalt blue original enamel painted surface. This has not been examined out of the frame, it has been professionally re-backed. The Maxfield Parrish signature in the lithograph is partially visible in the lower right hand corner (but is hard to see in photos provided here). The House Of Art text appears on the left lower edge in the rocks and can be seen in detail in the 3rd image below. This is just a remarkable example a nicer version will provide impossible to find.

In very fine condition the colors are vibrant and very intense, when closely examined in certain raking light, a slight ripple to the paper is visible, but it is not noticeable or distracting when displayed.. The frame is likely original to the print and also in very fine condition with just a little bit of very hard to see cosmetic age checking lines in the gesso corners, but remains solid and not structurally compromised.
