ANTIQUE NAVAL NAVY OFFICER\'S SWORD \"GARDE IMPERIALE\" MAY BE FRENCH NAPOLEONICTHE MOUNTS ARE OF BRASS WITH ENGRAVE ANCHOR ON THE FRONT SHIELD. THE GRIP IS LEATHER ON WOOD WITH BRASS WIRE. THE BLADE IS VERY WIDE AND VERY CURVED, HAS YELMAN RAISED POINT, ENGRAVED \'\'GARDE IMPERIALE\" ON BOTH SIDES, THE SPINE HAS MAKER NAMES.CONDITION IS VERY GOOD WITH MUCH PATINA, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY 1800s MAY BE NAPOLEONIC. SCABBARD LEATHER MAY BE REPLACED LATER.
