Antique or Vintage GURLEY Surveyors Transit Level in Box Survey Surveying For Sale

This is a very old surveyor\'s transit, fresh out of an estate. The heavy wooden box/carrier is marked \"Gurley Engineering Instruments Troy NY USA\" 10\" x 19 1/2\" x 6\" The leather strap is broken on one side.
The transit itself, is quite dusty and needs a good cleaning. It does have a clear view through the viewfinder. (I looked through and saw tiny yellow flowers, way out in my cow pasture) It is also marked \"W. & L.E. Gurley Troy NY L. 18893\"
