ANTIQUE POLISH OR TURKISH NAVAL SWORD YATAGAN KARABELA SHAMSHIR DAMASCUS BLADETHE MOUNTS ARE OF BRASS WITH PRESSED ORNAMENTS, THE GRIPS ARE OF BLACK WOOD OR EBONY, BRASS HAS GILDING. THE BLADE IS OF YATAGAN FORM AND SHOWS DAMASCUS STEEL PATTERNS. CONDITION IS VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT WITH SOME PATINA AND PITTING, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY 1700s TO 1800s.                                              TOTAL LENGTH IS  33\" BLADE IS   26 1/2\"
