This was Sony’s first pocket radio, and even includes theirold logo, one of the first radios to use a 9 volt battery, and the very firstSony radio to make it to the American market. Although these we referred to aspocket radios, Sony still had their salesman’s shirt-pockets modified to justbarely fit these radios. Radio features a beautifully reverse painted plasticdial, earphone jack, and original Sony badge. This was the radio that startedit all.
This is the earliest model of the TR-63. Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Limited. The cabinet has great color, a beautiful yellow. Radio has no cracks, chips, dents, indentation, or missing pieces. The only real imperfections are the usual light surface scratches. Thin plastic ribs on red dial look mint. Radio is uncleaned and untested. Leather case has some tears. Old style case is very soft leather.
