Antique/ Vintage General Electric GE Fan/ 6 Blade BMY/ RARE For Sale

Antique 12\" General Electric 6 Brass Blade BMY(Big Motor Yoke) fan up for sale. Those of you (fan collectors) who know what this is will without a doubt want to act fast. A 6 blade BMY is a rare fan and highly collectible. This fan has been restored inside and out. We start by stripping down all cast iron parts for bead blasting, removing old wire and worn parts. The motor is cleaned and tested as well as switch assembly. The fan is then de-greased, cleaned, then primed and painted with an automotive grade paint system. New grease and Royal Purple oil is applied to oil cups. New wire and new antique style Bakelite plug that is safe to use in today\'s electrical outlets is applied. All brass hardware is polished and NOT clear coated. The reason for this is I leave it up to the buyer to decide whether to allow the brass to \"patina\" or polish themselves as needed. This fan works well on all 3 speeds and is very quiet. I\'ve been told through my AFCA (Antique Fan Collectors Association) members that this fan is approximately from 1909. I am also an AFCA member. 6 bladed fans run slower than 4 bladed fans but push the same amount of air, only quieter. You had to be wealthy back in the early 1900\'s to own one of these but here is your chance to own a beautiful working piece of American history! Imagine if this fan could speak? The stories! Wow. Dimensions are as follows; Width(Cage) 13\", Width (Blades) 12\", Height 17.5\", Depth (back of base bottom to front cage badge) 11\". Fan is over 100 years old so there is no warranty and buyer agrees that the fan is in excellent working condition but is sold \"as is\" when purchased.
