$162.50

RARE, RARE, RARE!!!! Antique, Vintage \"RED STAR - Model 303\" Copper & Brass Fire Extinguisher - Polished to Mirror Finish - this beautiful piece literally glows!!!!THIS IS KNOWN AS THE \"BIG STAR MODEL\"!!!!!
For your consideration, this is aVERY RARE \"RED STAR - Model 303 - Big Star\"antique vintage copper and brass fire extinguisher and this would make the perfectCHRISTMAS GIFTfor any collector of fire fighting history, Americana, Steampunk, or for a fire fighter. This is an extremely rare and its is very old as this one has the patent dates for these antiques and its had the rivet construction along the back and it has the original bronze cap. Polished copper extinguisher body, including the polished embossed brass plates.
The antique also can be easily fitted as a beautiful lamp or will be the center piece for any collection in any home. This is a rare, vintage, antique\"RED STAR - Model 303 - BIG STAR\" Copper and Brass Fire Extinguisher\"polished to a mirror finished, the copper and brass fire extinguisher that dates back to approximately 1915-1918 based on the Underwriter\'s Laboratories Classification Serial Number of \"No. 701690\", with the original classification release. This history of this beautiful antique is literally written on the front of the brass plate listing the serial number for U.S. designation. You will not find a better example of fire fighting history anywhere and the copper and brass are polished so that you can literally see yourself in the metal.
I have polished this beauty over and over again and as the pictures show, this beauty shines. After researching this extinguisher and polishing the copper and brass, I chose to leave it as it is, because this piece of fire fighting history glows as it is, and looks when it did when was first created. This antique was manufactured by the very prestigious\"The General Fire Truck Corporation,\" out of New York, New York, Los Angeles, California, and Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.This antique extinguisher is especially rare as is depicted in the photographs, the rivets along the backside of this antique are copper. The rivets are in great condition and have been polished to a mirror finish. This antique is 24\" tall, by 8\" wide, by 8\" deep, and it holds 2 & 1/2 gallons.
Overall, given the age of this antique, the condition of this fire extinguisher is in great shape. I have provided as many pictures as allows from all possible angles. Please keep in mind this antique is approximately 100 years old and it is a piece of fire fighting history so it will have very few almost unnoticeable blemishes that include a few scratches. Also, as the pictures show, the rear copper hanger clip present and in great condition. There are a few minor blemishes and imperfections on this antique so please do not conclude this antique is mint, because any antique fire extinguisher that is mint is a reproduction and not authentic. In addition, as the pictures show, this beauty shines, shines, shines. It will be the center piece of any collection and is a wonderful conversation piece.
The cap has also been restored and polished, and is in outstanding condition. The cap easily screws off as well and can easily be detached if that is your intention. Also, the hose is original, and the brass connectors for the hose are original and are in very good condition. I have polished all of the connectors to ensure that they shine as well. Finally, the brass embossed plates are also shined to a mirror finish. Please look at all the pictures because they tell the true story on the condition of this antique.PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASElook at the pictures as they will tell you the true story of this beauty. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you will receive and I wrap all antiques in layers of bubble wrap to ensure you receive it in great condition. Even though the copper body and brass embossed plates have been cleaned, polished and the paint restored, they are not in perfect condition because it had over a century of tarnish and crud removed from them. This is a piece of fire fighting history, so it is not in perfect condition!!!!
Because of the difficulties in shipping, even an inactive fire extinguisher outside the United States, I do not ship internationally. Please be aware of this limitation and if you have a shipping address outside the U.S., please do not offer on this antique, as I will be forced to cancel the transaction. This antique would be the center of any collection. This antique extinguisher is also empty as the original ingredients have been removed and this item is not active. Please remember that the extinguisher isEMPTY.Remember to look at the photographs as they tell the true story of this beauty and I have provided as many as possible. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you might have. Thank you for looking and good luck on the sale.
