An old antique brass blade and cage Westinghouse electric fan. This one is the scarce Style 3856A and has the
Tesla Referral patented pancake motor. The fan base and motor measure 12\" tall. The cast iron base of the fan measures 6-1/2\" in diameter. The brass cage measures roughly 14\" in diameter x about 2-1/2\" deep. the original brass makers tag is still attached to the top of the pancake motor. The info printed on the tag reads: Westinghouse Elec. Mfg. Co. Pittsburg PA Patented

The fan needs to be completely re-wired. The brass cage also has a break near the top where one of the brass wire pieces fits in. The break in the cage is shown in some of the images I have uploaded. The fan is also missing a speed control switch that would have been at the base of the fan. Other than that the fan looks to be mostly complete. This one is an ideal candidate for restoration or just re-wire and keep it in its original state. Has lots of dust and dirt attached could improve with some cleaning. I am no expert on these old fans so if I left anything out feel free to let me know. Also feel free to ask any questions you may have before offerding. I had one member ask me about photos of the bottom of the fan where the switch would have been. I took and sent pictures of the bottom of the fan and sent them to that user. I have reached my photo limit on the listing and cannot add them since the sale has offers.
