We are listing today for your consideration a great Antique early 20th century Sterling Siren Fire Horn by The Interstate Machine Co. of Rochester, New York. This siren is in Excellent Original Working Condition with some very slight surface wear to the metal and wear and loss to the red paint, crazing to the paint as well. You can refer to the pictures, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition of this siren. The siren measures 12\" tall x 7\" wide x 10 1/4\" deep at the handle, the handle is 6 1/4\" long and the siren weighs approximately 16lb 4oz. The siren is marked with it\'s original brass tag that reads: Sterling Siren Fire Horn No H 1576 Mfg. By The Inter-State Machine Co. Rochester, N.Y. Wonderful rich coloring to the original red paint, it shows its age, great patina to the paint as well as iron metal. All is original to this Fire Truck mounted hand crank siren or alarm including the wood black painted handle. The alarm sounds great, it is quite loud and does go on for quite some time after cranking, the metal stop button works great. You press it in and it will stop the forward rotation of the cylinder that creates the horn siren sound.
