LOVELY LOOKING BANDAI FORD FAIRLANE 500 CONVERTIBLE 1957....made in japan;around the time & height of japanese tintoy making.
almost 12 inches length... extremely rare,and even moresoto find with its original box.
great colour combination in yellow & red,really attractive...with equally impressive tinplate interior,with quality detailing and reclining seats..seperate steering column....also has a matching opening trunk/boot...with delicate internal hinged support...holds open still...and great coloured litho printing...trunk lid closes shut nicer than others ive seen...fairlane script displays great on rear wings.
much \"chrome\" detailing over bodywork...simply classic 1950\'s styling.
displays excellently,being \"boxed up\" has helped keep interior lovely & bright...has spent most of its time in its box and more recently in display cabinet.
i\'ve tried to capture the overall condition in lots of photos...its in very nice condition...but please take a good look,as i\'m parting with my car as is/as shown and without returns...
GREAT OVERALL APPEARANCE....car shows minor marks,scratch,chip/scuff etc..just odd paint ageing.. blemishing...bright work very nice only slight tarnish;windshield frame slightly off true...sure it will adjust with careful manipulation in hand(has never concerned me)...\"glass\" in frame displays slight pulling away at edges in few spots...very common on japanese cars almost 60 years old!...notice one wheelsits slightly \"raised off ground\"...if that makes sense?...and has always been like this since owned.
FRICTION DRIVES IS WORKING FINE.
original box with part insert...has wonderful period graphics;lower section still displays factory stamped main body colour designation....YELLOW;condition shows some wear & tear,with some perforations to lid,and older internal repairs...BUT BOX IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND and displays great with the car.
