BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE 1959, Michael Forest, Corman Horror Gem, PD, Great Print For Sale

Up for sale is a very nice 16mm original print of a beloved \'50s scif-fi goodie, BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE (1959) starring Michael Forest, Sheila Carol, Frank Wolff, Wally Campo, and Richard Sinatra. Gangsters hiding in a mountain cabin are killed off by a horrible monster who’s the resident of a local cave. This is a Roger Corman film, although his name isn’t in the credits. Cool. It\'s hard to say whether this monster is just some weird, previously undiscovered creature living in a mountain cave...or is it something supernatural; certain moments shows the charging beast appear to be somewhat trans-lucent. IMPORTANT, this is the uncut later version that was released for TV. As many of you know, Corman\'s films were often just over sixty minutes. This caused a bit of a problem when syndicating them to television as they were too long for a one-hour time slot and too short for a 90-minute time slot. So Corman, on any number of his \'50s and \'60s films, went back and shot additional footage. This print has all that extra footage and runs at least 70 minutes or more. Now, regarding the print itself, it\'s a great old 16mm original print. The density and contrast look great. The on-screen images are very crisp. The audio track sounds terrific. Physically, the print\'s in wonderful shape with generally light wear overall. There\'s really not much in the way of hairlines and the splice level is pretty low. All in all it\'s a fine old used print. This is another one of those \"must-have\" titles if you\'re a \'50s sci-fi and horror film collector. Don\'t delay...offer today!
