Beautiful estate find. Appears to be an exact copy of one that recently sold
here (see screen capture).
I do not know much about clocks but this one appears to be in perfect condition. I set it up and it ran fine for about 30 minutes before stopping.
I am assuming it needs minor leveling or adjusting since it came with no instructions. I have no leveling tools.
The movement in the base appears to control the buckets on the left that carry the tiny balls to the top where they drop onto the big wheel. The big wheel moves to the right where the balls fall into the track and the cycle continues.
It is extremely fascinating!
All pieces appear to be gold plated or brass plated as in the recent listing that sold. There are more than enough steel balls to fill the spots on the big wheel and the upward moving buckets and extra. See the key and steel ball tool in the pictures which are part of this description.
Please understand that I am no clock expert and sell with no guarantees implied or otherwise.
It will need some kind of adjustments when you receive it which is normal for any intricate item that is shipped.
I will ship up to the sale price or $2,500.
