Beautiful black glass dutch onion bottle from the 1700s. It is a wonderful olive green with a light patina. The bottle is hand blown with an applied lip and very nice distinct broken off pontil. It has some normal wear from being buried in the sand for so long and one side has some scratching and brown coloration from the dirt. There is also a small chip on the lip on one side.
The bottle measures 7\" tall and 5 1/2\" wide.
There are no chips or cracks, this is a great example of a dutch onion bottle dating approx. 300 years old and would be a wonderful addition to your black glass collection.
