BOLEX H16 Reflex 16mm Camera with BERTHIOT 17.5-70MM F/2.4 PAN CINOR 70 ZOOM LENSHere\'s a BOLEX H16 Reflex 16mm Cine Camera with a SOM BERTHIOT 17.5-70MM F/2.4 PAN CINOR 70 ZOOM LENS with viewfinder and lens hood. The camera also comes with the original leather case with key and working locks, TWO extra lenses.. a Kern-Paillard SWITAR 25mm f1.4 H16 RX lens and a Kern-Paillard Switar 10mm f1.6 lens, both with original boxes (see details below). There are also additional accessories such as a group of 7 Kodak wratten 2\" square gelatin filters, another set of Bolex Paillard gelatin filters in metal mounts and original plastic case, a Bolex Paillard movie handle with trigger and leather strap, Viewfinder, documentation, and a 10mm Field Adapter. This set was purchased from the estate of a professional photographer. It has been in storage for 10-15 years and had been very well cared for, appreciated and loved its whole life. Overall an incredible collection of original video equipment, sold as one lot. This is your chance to own a piece of video history. The leather case is in great shape. It even has a couple of US Customs labels on the outside. The locks work, and it comes with an original key. The key alone is almost never found with the case, yet here it is.The lenses are in great shape. The only condition issue I noticed is that the Pan Cinor lens is a little \"foggy\" on the prism in the lens. I\'m sure it is an easy fix, because the prism is easily removed and could be cleaned by a professional (please see closeup photo). There are normal wear marks on the camera and lenses, but they are still in amazing condition. Much better than most of what\'s out there. The camera has been mechanically tested as best I could. I am not a professional, but I tried all of the functions I could think of, and everything seemed to work great. Wind it up, set the speed and pull the trigger. That\'s it. Hums like a finely tuned engine. This would make an incredible gift for the holidays, or add it to your collection. It looks amazing on the shelf, or you could actually use it with very minor maintenance. Don\'t let this one get away.Shipping is a flat rate of $40 to the US. Includes two SUPERB ADDITIONAL LENSES:

The H16 Bolex usually has three lenses. It should be noted that only lenses with the designation \"RX\" in 25mm or less, can be used on the REX (Reflex) Bolexes. An expensive optional lens is the 10mm Switar. This lens gives about the same angle of view as would a 30mm lens on a 35mm full frame still camera. The 10mm Switar is highly sought after. The 10mm lens provides acceptable images, provided the iris is not stopped down to below F4. The 25mm Switar may be used with little vignetting. Photographers often did not bother about this too much, regarding the subtle corner vignetting as a price worth paying and part of the character of such cinematography.Bolex is a Swiss company (Bolex International S.A. of Yverdon) that manufactures motion picture cameras and lenses, the most notable products of which are in the 16 mm and Super 16 mm formats. The Bolex company was initially founded by Jacques Bogopolsky (a.k.a. Jacques Bolsey or Bolsky) in 1927. Bolex is derived from his name. He had previously designed cameras for Alpa. Bolex cameras were particularly important for early television news, nature films, documentaries and the avant garde, and are still favoured by many animators today. While some later models are electrically powered, the majority of those manufactured since the 1930s use a spring-wound clockwork power system. The 16 mm spring-wound Bolex is a popular introductory camera in film schools.H-16 Rx (1956)
