At sale is a Bolex H 16 Reflex, Rex-4 16mm movie camera made by Paillard Bolex of Switzerland. Based on the serial number, this camera was manufactured in 1966. The camera uses standard 16mm movie film on 50 foot rolls. The film is transported by clockwork mechanism that is spring driven. The spring is wound by a crank on the side of the camera. The Rex-4 version allowed for the addition of sound synchronization. This camera comes with two lenses. A 16mm f/1.8 Switar H16 RX and a 25mm f/1.4 Switar H16 RX. Both lenses are clean and clear with no scratches, fungus or haze. The aperture and focus rings move smoothly and easily. The diaphragms are free of oil, and grease. This kit also comes with a set of six filter holders with five of the holder in a Bolex plastic case and one seated in the camera. Among the filter holders, one has a neutral density filter in it and another has an amber filter in it. The other four filter holders have no filters in them. Other items that come with this sale are three screw-in lens-mount plugs, two 50-foot film reels, a Bolex pamphlet entitled \"MOTION PICTURES in medicine/research\", the original Bolex instruction booklet, and the original fitted box. The camera is in mint- cosmetic condition with only the most minor signs of use. The viewfinder has the name of the original owner beautifully and professionally embossed on it. The 16mm lens is in excellent cosmetic condition and the 25mm lens is in mint cosmetic condition and comes with the original Kern-Paillard leather case. The box is in excellent cosmetic condition. All items in the set function well as they should. This is both a wonderful camera to use and a beautiful example for the Bolex collectors.
