BOLEX H8 VINTAGE OUTFIT WITH FIVE LENSES AND MOTOR PLUSACCESSORIES

Before the H8RX was introduced, this would have been one of thetop Standard 8 movie outfits available. This model H8 had almost everyfacility; D mount triple turret; 100 ft spool load; rack-over TTL focusing;frame counter; unlimited backwind; multi-focal viewfinder and aninterchangeable D mount zoom lens. This particular outfit has the seldom seenBolex type 17 motor and battery case. The exact contents are as follows;

The whole outfit is in good condition. The clockworkmotor sounds good. I have not run the electric motor for many years, but it hasnever had much use and should work OK. The lenses have some internal dust, butall look in reasonable condition (the two big black spots in the zoom’s photoare part of the viewfinder optics). Please examine the photos as they are partof the description. The whole outfit fits in two cases, one of which is theoriginal Bolex motor and batteries case. It weighs about 7 ½ kilo.

To clarify re the electric motor;(a) It does work. I have just now run it on a similar vintage H16 and it works perfectly. The more voltage you apply the higher you can set the frame rate (up to 32 fps. on the H16 or 48 fps. on the H8). The actual speed is set by the camera\'s mechanical governor.(b) Be aware that the connecting spindle between the motor and the camera\'s drive shaft changed dimension about the time the RX versions were introduced. So the older cameras, like this one, need a different connector (and backwind key) to the later ones. The outfit on offer has the correct connector on the motor and the correct backwind key.
