Very good condition British Pattern1888 MK II bayonet, as used with the Lee Enfield and Lee Metford rifles.Bayonet has several dates on the left ricasso from 1891 through 1907, andseveral British proof marks on the right ricasso. Blade has nice bright finishbut has been neatly re-ground to single edges. Has some scattered gray and brown.Remaining metal finish is bright with some scattered brown. Wood grips showsome normal wear and have correct oil hole, lock button functions fine. Fittedin leather scabbard that has integral belt loop and steel tip. Leather issupple with some normal wear. Stitching and staples are nice and tight. Ascarce P-1888 bayonet for your collection.
