This microphone is the result of more then five year of research, experiments and improvements in ribbon microphone technology.The RM-5 ribbon microphone is intended to be an exclusive hand-crafted design, rather then an automated mass-production.We focus on direct sales to avoid huge additional costs and to be sure, that each individual customer receives all the necessary attention.Please be aware that you are looking at the DIY KIT, not assembled unit!
The motor in this kit comes fully assembled with the ribbon installed and hand-tuned.Please see the detailed illustrated assembly manual!
What exactly is included?

Everything you need to make a classy modern ribbon microphone (please refer to the listing pictures):

• RE-254 Ribbon Mic Motor(fully assembled!)
• RTP-35 Toroidal Output Transformer
• Matt-polished stainless steel body with all the hardware - caps, screws, grill
• XLR insert with gold-plated pins.

- Original toroidal output transformer of our own design is included
- Bodies are made of a carefully selected and inspected high-grade stainless steel tubing.
- Microphone bodies are individually machined by a local company, so we can keep an eye on the process and inspect the results of every stage.
- After the inspection of a full body assembly, steel is matt-polished for our exclusive signature appearance.
- Nearly all the materials used to manufacture RM-5 Ribbon Microphones come from Europe and Japan.- Entirely original design, no stock parts are used
