Superb c1850s cdv size beautifully tinted ambrotype of a lovely young woman posing next to a miniature medieval knight in a full suit of armour with a large weapon and heavy shield. Extremely rare and possibly unique subject with excellent clarity and super crisp,bright tones as well as highly detailed tinting with green,blue,orange,and gold tinting .A fabulous and very artistic piece of early armour and photo-history ! A real sparkler with outstanding content,composition,and reserve.Image is uncased.Slight spot above her head that may be on the cover glass.
