c1890 GORGEOUS Dissolving Color Wood Mount Lantern Slide WA DC Capitol in Winter For Sale

This is a glass magic lantern slide, berautifully colored, in a wood mount. It is labeled, \"Capitol at Night.\" I have a partner slide I will be listing that shows the Capitol in Autumn where as this one is winter with snow on the trees. The slides were meant to \"dissolve\" into one another. The original $40 sticker I paid for the set MANY years ago is still on the slide. Now it just needs to go from my house to yours. Magic Lantern Slides are one of the best untapped resources for antique views there are. Slides were usually discarded after a relatively short period of use so are difficult to find. Slide is 4\" x 7\" and can be viewed by projecting, holding it to the light, or placing it on a light box. This slide can be made into a photograph or poster.
