This is a photographic glass magic lantern slide, black and white, labeled, \"Geo. Units--The Arctic--A Group of Eskimos.\" In 1905 Keystone View Company began its Educational Department, selling views and glass lantern slides (the forerunner of the photo transparency, later used in slide projectors) to schools throughout the country. They also produced lantern slide projection equipment. This slide is part of the Keystone Geography series. This is slide #165 of the set. Lanterns slides are one of the best untapped sources of antique photographs there are. Slides were usually discarded after a relatively short period of use so are difficult to find. Slide is 3 1/4\" x 4\", is in very good condition, and can be viewed by projecting, holding it to the light, or placing it on a light box. This slide can be made into a photograph or poster.
