Fantastic and very rare, original ca1906 Cast Iron Toy, Double Horse Drawn Sleigh with original female driver manufactured by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in outstanding, original condition. This early and exceptionally well preserved, cast iron Horse Drawn Toy measures 15” long overall by 5\" tall (to the top of the horses heads) by 3 3/4\" wide (at its widest point). This wonderful Sleigh is pulled by a pair of separately cast horses - one black with gold highlights and one silver with gold highlights. This is the identical sleigh that was also issued by Hubley with a Santa Claus driver and pulled by reindeer and is among the most highly sought after Hubley cast iron Toys today.

The color scheme here features a wonderful forest green sleigh with gold gilt trim attached by an integrally cast shaft (also in forest green) to a pair of beautiful horses (one silver and one black) with gold harness. The original female driver features articulated arms (as called for) and wears a blue jacket, skirt and hat with a red feather in the hat.

This wonderful, ca1906 Double Horse Drawn Sleigh is in excellent condition. It is 100% original and has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. All parts of the Toy, except the driver, retain near 80%+ of the original surface paint which is bright and vibrant. The original driver does have more significant wear to the surface paint. There are no cracks, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron element.
