Wonderful, original and quite rare, ca1907 Tin Lithographed Advertising Shoehorn for Shinola Shoe Polish. This wonderful Chromolithographed, tin Shoehorn measures approx. 5” x 1 5/8\" (at its widest). It features images of a Shinola Shoe Polish Tin, a patented \"Shinola\" brand applicator brush and a patented Shinola brand buffing brush. Text on the Shoehorn reads \"Shinola The Wonderful Shoe Polish\".
The chromolithography on this outstanding Advertising Piece is of the very highest quality and it is signed by the manufacturer - Charles W. Shonk of Chicago. Although the Shoehorn itself is undated the Buffing Brush carries a patent date of 1907.
This beautiful, ca1907 Tin Lithograph Advertising Shoehorn is in very good condition - the lithography is bright and vibrant and there is only some minimal and unobtrusive, light edge wear to the surface. Please see the scans below for a good indication of condition. The back side of the Shoehorn is also in very good condition with light edge wear at the edges.
