I purchased this track loader to clear several acres of very heavly overgrown land at my camp and the job is now done. I believe the following to be true but im not 100% sure: Engine is a Cat 3204 4 cylinder with about 62 HP, Powershift Transmission and Pedal steering.
I named her Dumbo because, like an eleaphant, nothing stops her. She will knock down or push through anything in her path. I cleared heavy thick brush with ease and also had no problem at all knocking down 40\' trees or moving hugh boulders. The front bucket works fine and can lift bolders with ease. I dont know much about the tracks or undercarrige butshe provides good traction and Ihad no problem with any part of this loader in the two years I had her. This older machine has about 5,000 + hours on her but starts every time, burns very little oil and runs great. She also has a new seat.
Problems are as follows: I can run this machine for a solid hour before the left and right stearing starts to get difficult. I was told a film builds up on the brakes when hot and thats the reason but I have zero mechanicle knownledge on this type of equipment. Also, reverse is a little slow. Im told the reverse filter may need changing. This is an old machine, late 70\'s I believe, but has been used on several farms for the last 10 years. I have several manuals (Service and Parts), that go with it. Paint is a bit faded and pitted in some areasbut not at all rusted looking.
This loader is located in Upstate NY, (Utica/Lowville arae). All shipping costs are on the buyer but I certainly canhelp load her. She is stored in a enclosed shed at the moment.
