K.W Thalhammer Tripod
This old set come in the original case. Included are the camera, case, antique indoor outdoor tripod, the black cloth hood, a filter with holder and a shutter. The shutter was made in Japan and looks like an aftermarket item.
The glass back plate is about 8 by 10 inches. Overall the camera is about 11 ½ inches square and about 4 ½ inches thick when closed.
The K.W. Thalhammer tripod is about 35 inches long when closed and extends to 56 inches. The legs are reversible. One end has the outdoor spike and the other end has the rubber tips for indoor use. Nice wooden legs with no cracks or chips. Just normal wear to the finish. The metal parts are cast aluminum. All of the adjustments work and I found no missing parts. Great early 20th century look!
In the case are a made in Japan cloth shutter and a filter.
Let’s not forget the cloth light hood. It has metal snaps.
We have had most of these items individually. Most of the time there are condition concerns because of the fragile nature of the wood and leather parts. This camera and all of the accessories really stands out for it’s condition. The bellows are pliable and we checked for light leaks. Even the leather handles are in good condition.

The camera is really in fine shape. Nice finish good tight finger joints. The focusing rack and pinion is in great shape. All of the angling adjustments also all work.
