Civil War Confederate Fighting knife Original Sword made For Sale

Up for offers is an original Civil War soldier's fighting knife. The knife was made from an Ames 1855 dated musician sword. This is undoubtedly a period made knife. The knife's patina is awesome throughout. The blade has been hammered flat and has a blood groove, blacksmith made. The blade has a tag that reads "FOUND IN THE ATTIC OF A CIVIL WAR PERIOD HOME IN FREDERICKSBURG VA". The knife in total length measures 15 3/4" with a 9 1/2" blade.
