I of the 10th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry. David enlisted on 03/01/1862 at Wheeling WV. as a Private. David participated in several skirmishes and battles before being captured at Beverly WV. on 07/02/1863 and was send to Andersonville Prison as a POW. On 04/02/1864 David passed away of disease and is buried in plot 294.
