ALL Items are in EXCELLENT CONDITION with the Exterior of the Coat being in MINT Condition and the Exterior of the Hat Being in NEAR MINT Condition. The coat is identified by the Beau Brummel Tailor Tag inside the interior pocket to \"C. F. (or E) CINGSPURGER\" and dated 28 JULY 1944. Every item is GUARANTEED to be 100% Authentic and Unaltered from its Original WWII State. This grouping was once displayed in a small private museum and has been meticulously maintained. It remains in an excellent state of preservation and to our knowledge every item is from the same armored division Major. We have no written proof, but this is the oral background we were given at the time we obtained it. This is TRULY a Museum Quality Collection that is for the most meticulous and discerning of Advanced Collectors. You will not be disappointed with this grouping when you see it.
Please Read Entire Description1. WWII US Army Major\'s 12th & 3rd Armored Divisions Patched Four Pocket Coat - EXCELLENT CONDITION - This Four Pocket \"Elastique\" Dress Coat has NO Soiling, NO Staining, NO Fading, NO Mothing and NO Damage of Any Sort to the Exterior. The EXTERIOR of the Coat is in MINT CONDITION and looks like it was manufactured today! The Interior shows minor signs of age and wear as well as a Five Inch Seam Separation to the Center Rear of the Silk Liner. The Exterior Maintains Perfect Color and shows virtually NO signs of age, wear or use. The Fabric of the Belt is Also Mint, but the Brass Buckle Shows Some Minor Age and Wear, but nothing that detracts from the coat in any way. The coat maintains all of its original buttons firmly in place. To the Left Shoulder the coat bears its original, Big 12th Armored Division patch that is in Mint Condition and remains firmly stitched. To the Right Shoulder the coat bears its original, Big 3rd Armored Division Patch, also in Mint Condition and remaining as firmly stitched to the coat as the day it was sewn on. The Lapels Maintain their Original WWII Tank Corps Officer\'s Insignia that depict the Side View of a World War One Tank. The tank insignia are WWII and maintain their original flat faced clutches, but they are not a perfectly matching set. The one on the right lapel is a \"snow flake\" backed Gemsco and the one on the left is of Fox manufacture. They are very close in appearance and style and both are in Excellent Condition. The lapels also maintains their original WWII \"US\" Officer\'s Insignia, these are an Excellent Condition Matching set that are of the rather scarce Hollow Back Design. These also maintain their Original WWII Flat Faced Clutches. To the Shoulders of the coat are the Original WWII NS Meyer Manufacture Pin Back Major\'s Insignia. These insignia are also in Excellent Condition and are of Superior Quality. To the Right Chest is an Original WWII Ribbon bar that also maintains its original WWII flat faced clutches, but it appears that either the original owner or the museum that was once the custodian of this collection added a replacement Europe, Africa, Middle Easter Campaign Ribbon. The Bronze Star Ribbon appears to be from the WWII Era and the Center Ribbon does as well. However, the EAME ribbon is a post war replacement ribbon with FOUR Stars Signifying 24 Months in Theater. The middle ribbon appears to be a foreign campaign or civic ribbon that we are not familiar with at this moment. The left chest also bears a post war Crimp Broach EAME Medal with Four Stars as well that is in MINT Condition. The EAME ribbon on the ribbon bar is mint, the foreign ribbon shows wear and fading as does the Bronze Star Ribbon. The interior liner of the coat is in Good Condition, but needs to have a five inch area to the rear restitched. The Embroidered Initials \"MC\" appear on a tag that is stitched to the exterior of the inside pocket. A manufacturer\'s tag that reads \"The Storr\'s-Schaefer Co. Cincinnatti\" is stitched to the exterior of the pocket as well. To the Interior of the Inside Pocket is a Name Tag that Reads \"The Storr-Schaefer Co. Beau Brummel Tailoring Cincinnati.\" Also to the tag is the typed information that reads \"SMITH\'S MENS SHOP - Mr. M. F. (or E) CINGSPURGER 44-14 - Date 7/28/44 - No. 63638.\" We attempted to conduct a brief bit off research but could find absolutely no one with the last name of \"Cingspurger,\" so this leads us to believe that the Name is Spelled Incorrectly on the tag. The coat is a nice size and fits easily on a mannequin torso The MEASUREMENTS ARE: SLEEVES = 23 1/2 Inches from the top shoulder seam to the cuff; BACK = 18 1/2 Inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam measured across the upper back just below the collar; CHEST = 20 Inches from armpit to armpit when buttoned and laying flat. This is Truly a BEAUTIFUL Coat that remains in an amazing state of preservation. 2. WWII Dark OD Green Wool Private Purchase Shirt - EXCELLENT CONDITION - This shirt is in near perfect condition! Under close examination we can find NO Flaws of any sort to the exterior. It is a Private Purchase Tailored Shirt but lacks ALL tags and information that you may normally find on a shirt of this type. It is NOT tailored to WWII US Army Officer\'s Shirt Regulations and lacks the epaulettes on the shoulders. The shirt is heavy wool and was obviously meant to be worn under the coat in cold weather. The Shirt has NO Mothing, NO Soiling, NO Staining, NO Fading and NO Damage of any sort. The only minor flaw we can find is that the thin silk liner of the collar shows a small amount of wear and soiling from use. All buttons remain firmly in place and are of the type typical to 1940s officer\'s shirts. There are no tags of any sort to the shirt but the MEASUREMENTS ARE: CHEST = 20 1/2 Inches from armpit to armpit when buttoned and laying flat; SLEEVES = 24 1/2 Inches from top shoulder seam to cuff; BACK = 17 Inches from Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam measured across the upper back just below the collar. This shirt is in a beautiful state of preservation and looks beautiful when displayed with the coat. 3. WWII Regulation US Army Officer\'s Khaki Shirt - EXCELLENT CONDITION - This shirt maintains its original \"Regulation Army Officer\'s Shirt\" tag to the collar as well as its 15-32 Size Tag. The shirt shows minor signs of age, wear and long term storage. It appears to have been laundered, heavily starched, folded and stored for many years. All buttons are present and remain firmly stitched to the shirt. The Front of the Shirt is in Excellent Condition with NO Flaws. The sleeves show signs of light wear, but nothing that detracts from the shirt. There is a light rust colored stain the size of a 50 cent piece to the area of the right wrist, that is not readily apparent. There is some light soiling to the rear of the shirt, most of which is in the area of the tail. The MEASUREMENTS ARE: CHEST = 21 Inches from armpit to armpit measured across the chest when buttoned and laying flat; SLEEVES = 23 1/2 inches from top shoulder seam to cuff; BACK = 18 Inches from shoulder seam to shoulder seam measured across the upper back, just below the collar. The shirt could use to be dry cleaned and pressed to be made to look perfect, but as it is displays extremely well under the coat. A very good looking shirt that also remains in an excellent state of preservation. 4. WWII US Army Officer\'s Private Purchase Khaki Trousers - VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT - I believe that most dealers or collectors would rate these trousers as being in excellent condition, but due to the fact that they need to be dry cleaned and pressed and are not absolutely perfect, I prefer to rate them as very good to excellent. These Trousers are of Light Wool Construction and the type that were to be worn in warmer weather. All buttons are present and they are very solid. There are NO size or manufacture / tailor tags to the interior but there are a lot of handwritten numbers and a date of 9 June 1944 appearing as \"6-9-44.\" There is also a scribbled name that does not match the name in the coat that is written near the abundance of numbers. The trousers show only very minor signs of age and wear to the lining of the interior waistband and pockets. The inside is very clean and only shows very minor age darkening. There are only Two Pencil Lead Sized Moth Nips to these trousers. One is located to the area of the front of the left knee and the other is located to the area of the left seat near the pocket. These moth nips are very small and not readily apparent. There is some sweat staining in the area around the right ankle. There is some light, minor soiling to the cuffs and three pencil eraser sized dark spots to the left cuff. I believe that all soiling, sweat stains and spotting may clean away if the trousers were dry cleaned or perhaps hand washed. They are a nice size and the MEASUREMENTS ARE: WAIST = 35 Inches measured all the way around with a seamstress / tailor\'s tape when buttoned and laying flat; OVERALL LENGTH = 45 1/2 Inches measured from the top of the waistband to the cuff; INSEAM = 34 INCHES Measured from crotch to cuff. Overall, a very good looking set of trousers that with some care and cleaning could most likely easily be in excellent condition. 5. WWII US Army Khaki Wool Dress Tie - EXCELLENT CONDITION - This tie is typical of most we see worn by Army Officers during WWII. It is of khaki wool construction and remains an extremely nice example. It shows NO Mothing, NO Soiling, NO Fading and NO Staining. It shows only very minor signs of age, wear and use. There are no tags or markings to the tie and it is a nice, long example that is easy to tie. One of the nicest ties we have seen in a while that remains in a wonderful stat of preservation. 6. WWII US Army Officer\'s Private Purchase Visor Hat - EXCELLENT CONDITION - We rate this hat as being in excellent condition because the exterior is NEAR MINT. It is the design with a front chinstrap and a rear buckled nape strap. This hat as NO Mothing, NO Soiling, NO Staining and NO Fading. It maintains perfect color. The exterior shows virtually no signs of wear or use and only very minor age. ALL Leather is Near Perfect with only very minor wear to the rear buckled strap and minor age and wear to the brass buckle itself. The exterior of the visor is excellent but the underside appears to have lost a layer of leather or of coating that was applied to it. The hat has a style similar to a \"Crusher,\" but is NOT a true crusher. The interior is Lacking the Plastic Sweatguard and the Yellow Silk Lining Shows Wear and some thin areas to the material. The leather sweatband is in excellent condition with only very minor signs of being worn. Their is a one inch area to the sweatband just behind the visor where there are broken/missing stitches. By MY Measurements the Hat is a SIZE 7 as it is 22 INCHES In Circumference. There is NO Size Tag. The Interior Liner maintains its tailor\'s tag firmly stitched and reads \"The Horstmann Uniform Company, Philadelphia\" with the Horstmann logo to the upper left corner. The Hat Maintains it Original, Beautiful Condition Army Officer\'s Crest to the Front. It is of very high quality and appears to be gold filled. The crest is the Early War Style \"V\" Winged or \"Victory Winged\" Eagle and appears to be completely original to the hat. The crest does not appear to have ever been off the hat since the day it was placed there. For that reason, we have not removed it for inspection. Without a doubt, an excellent, superior quality example. While the Interior of the Hat is NOT Perfect (most likely from being on a mannequin head for some time) the Exterior of the Hat is Quite Close to Perfect. A beautiful hat that has a crusher-like appearance and displays extremely well. This is without a doubt an absolutely beautiful Museum Quality Uniform that is of Advanced Collector Grade in appearance and Quality. It is extremely eye catching and impressive to behold. Every aspect is excellent and completely original. While it appears to be identified, we could find absolutely nothing on anyone with the name that appears in the coat. We have NO information on the Major that once wore these items. Overall the uniform is a beautiful example of a very hard to find 12th and 3rd Armored Division Patched Officer\'s Uniform. By far two of the most famous Armored Division in Military History! You will not be disappointed with this uniform when you see it and will be very proud to add it to your collection.
