I enjoy restoring Shirley Temple composition dolls and would love to clean andrestore yours for you. I am a self-taught doll restorationist. Please see my before and after photos to determine the quality of my work (see about me below).After purchasing, I will email you my address to mail your doll. Please ship your doll with insurance to be safe. This size of Shirley Temple Doll should run about $15 to ship with insurance through USPS.Full payment must be received before I will begin to work on your doll. Please see disclaimer at the bottom about nonpayment for dolls in my possession.sale includes $14.95 shipping for the return of your doll with insurance.Information about my restorations:I work to retain as much originality of the doll as possible. I do not do anyrepairs or renovations that I don\'t feel are necessary. I can do as little or as much restoration as you would like.If you simply want me to clean your doll and do minor work to cover crazing without repainting, that\'s what I\'ll do. The choice is yours. I do not completely remove all paint from my dolls. Some restorationists believe this is necessary, I do not, especially on Shirley Temples because their paint is very secure in most places. Instead, I remove alllifting areas only. I use wood glue (composition is wood) on the edges only of the missing paint to secure the remaining paint and prevent further lifting. Then I fill the area with putty/sculpting compound, sand the area smooth, repaint the area or the entire doll (whichever is needed) and seal with a protective clear coat. Next, I touch up or repaint facial features: lips, nose dots, eye dots, eyelashes, eyebrows and blush (on cheeks, knees, hands, back of elbows and top of feet). After this I add another clear coat.I wash (if needed) and restyle wigs. I enhance eyes or do an iris/pupil transplant, whichever is deemed necessary. I restring the doll if needed. Craze Lines and CracksI fill and cover craze lines and cracks. Small craze lines can often be covered/filled with paint. Deeper cracks require a filler. I remove all lifting paint, fill with putty andsand to a smooth finish. Painting I either match the paint for spot treatment or completely repaint the entire doll when necessary. I use acrylic paints and anairbrush.Broken/Missing AreasI resculpt toes, fingers etc. I can reattach most broken limbs.StringingI restring your doll, if neededFacial Features I touch up or repaint all facial featuresas needed.Clear CoatingI seal dolls with satin varnish to help prevent future crazing.WigsI remove and gently wash mohair wigs (when needed) and always restyle your Shirley Temples hair. I comb and curl your Shirley mohair wigs with a small curling iron and finish it with hairspray. I\'ll then add a bow to her hair. If your wig needs to be replaced, we will discuss our options. Often, I can save wigs in very poor condition as long as there is is still enough hair for me to work with.EyesIeither enhance shattered original eyes (paint pupilsand iris\'s if needed and then cover with a shiny clear coat)or transplant a new iris/pupil. I do not work on broken/non-functioning eyes or replace rockers or hair eyelashes. I repaint your painted eyelashes when needed. ALL ABOVE IS INCLUDED IN PRICE. Clothing I can clean and do basic mending to your Shirley\'s clothing for an additional $25 to be billed through paypal after restoration is complete before doll is returned.If I feel your clothing is too fragile or damaged for this process, I will let you know.I will make a new dress in a basic Shirley Temple style (your color scheme choice with my pattern and fabric), white one piece underwear slip, matching hatand bow for your doll for an additional $30- Shoes and socks included for an additional $10 ($40 total) to be billed through paypal after restoration is complete before doll is returned (this will add 1 week to your restoration time).I use fabric, ribbon, socks and shoes I keep on hand. To get an idea of my pattern, see the two 18\" doll restorations in the red dresses in my photos. I made those dresses.NOTE:Your doll can be shipped to me nude and returned to you nude if you prefer to dress her on your own. Or you can mail her clothes with her and I\'ll dress her before returning her to you. This way I can match her hair bow to her clothes.

I will restore your doll in 4-6 weeks from arrival at my house and mail her back to you. I will be in touch with you via email throughout the process.

I have a creative background that has allowed me to learn this process. In my younger years, I worked for a cosmetic company (Clinique) and did make-overs for people for 3 years. They trained me.When my children were small, I was inbusiness for myself in home decor salesproviding floral andinterior design services.I worked for 6 years decorating people\'s homes. For the past 10+ years, I\'ve worked inthe print industry where I am an advertisingmanagerand a graphic designer. Iput together all magazines and promotional materials for the newspaper I work for.

Along with a life-long love for dolls and lots of practice, the combination of these experiences gave me what it takes to restore dolls. I don\'t have a degree in any of these things (there\'s no such thing as a degree in doll restoration). I actually have a BBA- Bachelor of business degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas. Ialso have a love of restoring dolls and a natural talent for creative work, so you can trust that I will do everything in my power to make your doll beautiful again. I try to use the least invasive process possible that will still insure many years of renewed beauty for your doll. It is my goal to restore your doll to her original beauty, not completely create a new doll.

DISCLAIMER:

I can not guarantee that I can erase all traces of damage to your doll. There is sometimes evidence of a repair if an area was seriously damaged. I do promise you will be amazed at the transformation and your doll will look 100% better. Just remember she will still be an 80 year old doll!

If I have not received your FULL payment in 60 days, I reserve the right to keep or sell your doll. I do not have room to store your doll indefinitely.
