C.S.A. Stonewall Jackson Brigade, 14K Gold and Enamel Badge, 1900 U.C.V. Reunion For Sale

Authentic circa 1900, \"Stonewall Brigade\" 14K Gold Medal.  It was authorized in 1900 at the Confederate U.C.V. Reunion that year, and it was to be presented to all the surviving Confederate Soldiers who were in the Stonewall Brigade during the Civil War, if they applied for it.  This badge is seldom seen and considered rare.  It is 1-inch in Diameter, struck in 14K gold, made by Dieges and Clust in New York, and weighs 4.7 grams, .166 ounces, or 3.02 pennyweight.  It\'s condition is superb, with the enamel complete and unblemished and no trace of wear on the gold, but it appears that the catch for the pin has been re-attached and mentioned for the sake of accuracy. There is a circle of red enamel around the image, with white enamel on the regiment numbers. Pictured in the center is Stonewall Jackson, with a stone wall behind him. The badge reads  \"Stonewall Brigade, R.A.- C.B.,  C.S.A., 1861-1865.\"  The R.A. stands for \"Rockridge Artillery\" and the C.B. stands for \"Carpenter\'s Battery\", both of which were associated with the \"Stonewall Brigade\" during the war.  A marvelous badge for the Civil War collector.
