Daguerreotype/wet plate antique Petzval type Voigtlander brass lens barrel
Mid 19th century brass barrel for Petzval type lens. Engraved: "No. 9961 Voigtlånder & Sohn in Wein und Braunschweig." With deep shade. The rack and pinion focussing pinion and saddle is missing but the lens can be push/pull focussed. The barrel lacks all glass and screw in rims and mounts for the glass.
The brass barrel is patinated but could be polished if desired.
With slot for Waterhouse stops.
