Very good condition Dutch Model 1895 Mannlicher bayonet thatis the rare double edged blade variation made for use with the No. 1 New ModelCarbine by artillery and cavalry. Bayonet is marked HEMBRUG on the blade. 9 ¾”blade has bright and gray metal finish. Remaining metal finish is blue, brown,and gray. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight it with a fewhandling marks. Lock button is a little binding. The spring feels weak and maybe broken or missing. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that hasintegral belt loop and handle straps. Leather is soft and supple with somenormal wear, stitching and rivets are nice and tight. Scabbard body hasinitials scratched on the front. A very rare Dutch bayonet that will make afine addition to your collection.
