DUTCH MODEL 1917 STORMDOLK FIGHTING KNIFE W/ SHEATH-UNIT MARKING BRASS TAG For Sale

Very good condition and guaranteed original Dutch Model 1917“Stormdolk” fighting knife. This very hard to find piece has crowned Z proofmarks on the blade, guard, and grip and also has a serial number on top of theguard. 7 3/8” blade retains much of the beautiful original bright fire bluefinish with some brown spotting and has been sharpened at the tip. Wood griphas original finish and a good tight fit, and shows some normal handling marks.Fitted in correct original leather sheath that is soft and supple and showssome wear. Stitching and rivets are nice and tight. Complete with handlestraps, one of which has a repair. Unusual brass tag on the back, probably indicating KNIL (DutchColonial) use. A nice example of a rare Dutch fighting knife that will make anexcellent addition to your collection.
