FANTASTIC EARLY THUMB BACK FORM WITH TWO SHAPED AND GRADUATED SLATS. WONDERFUL SPLAY TO THE BASE. GREAT TURNED ARMS.
THIS IS A CLASSIC EARLY 19TH CENTURY FORM.
It has maple posts and ash slats and stretchers. The slats are slightly graduated. The arms are the best and all original.
The slats, stretchers and seat lists are all intact. Even the original front foot support is intact.
The feet are all original with the typical wear you would expect.
The natural rush seat is old and probably original. It is in very fine condition.
The chair retains its original grungy RED paint with black grained highlights and gold decoration. The surface is the best, grungy and all original.
This great chair stands 35\" TALL. The seat height is a full 22\". It splays BOTH IN THE FRONT AND SIDE.
