Very good condition and guaranteed original early Americanmilitia sword. Massive 33 ½” curved blade has original bright metal finish withsome gray. First 19 ½” of the blade has original niter blued panels on bothsides which retain much of the original color with some fading and wear. Panelshave original engraved military designs that are gold inlaid. Additionally,sword is named to a THOMAS MIDGELEY in gold washed engraving. Brass fittings havebeautiful untouched mellow patina and a tight fit. Bone grip has beautifulcolor and a couple of small hairlines. A great looking early American militiasword that will make an excellent addition to your collection and an impressivedisplay piece.
