Here is an unusual bottle... it is either an ale or very small demijohn type bottle... made from a dip mold with no visible seems (indicative of a 2-piece mold). It does have a seem in the shoulder, assuming the end of the dip mold? Anyways, what makes this one special is the odd form, but more importantly, the wonderful character of this bottle! It looks to be 1830-40s, maybe a New England piece, and LOADED with bubbles on top of bubbles! Super crude example.
Color is a nice lighter yellow olive...and has good clarity, as you can see when held to a window. The pushed up base has alight pontil scar, and the lip is a single sloping collared type. Nice size, roughly 8-3/4\" tall. This is one ODD bottle!
This one is in fine condition... a wonderful specimen.
Color and character really weigh in on this early beauty!
