This week I have a nice selection ofearly bottles and flasks, please take a moment to check them out.
Here is a very nice 1820-30s utilitarian (utility) bottle or small jar, probably froma Midwestern glass factory, possiblythe ZanesvilleOH Glass Works. The glass, lip treatment, and pontil seem to be consistent with Midwestern American glass production in the first half of the 19th century.
Color is a lighter amber, and of a more \"refined\" glass than seen in the East. Height isjust under5\" tall, and body is a cylinder form. Condition is perfect. Made from an early dip mold blown, pontilscarred base, interesting rolled over mouth treatment.
This is a wonderful piece of primitive Americana! Nice bright color, excellent glass clarity, and fantastic condition!
I fully guarantee authenticity.
An early 1830s Midwestern Americautility bottle in fine condition!
