Early New England, free blown sloped shoulder demi john.Beautiful crude glass.: $135.50
Up for sale. A delightful early New England storage bottle, circa 1820-1830. 13 1/4\" tall, crooked neck. applied sloping collar lip, pushed up pontil base, which is 6 1/2 inches wide. Early sloped shoulder form with excellent crudity. There is a raised exterior swirl that starts mid way on the neck and wraps around the bottle 2/3rds down towards the base. There is also some tooled marks of some kind around the bottom part of the neck. Something to do with the formation of the neck. The color is a syrupy medium olive amber color. Glass is loaded with bubbles and unique character to the glass. As said before, a delightful early storage bottle with out any high point ware, or damage . The interior is very clean, as well as the exterior. No wicker ware,original cork. This one grades top shelf with out any issues. please view our other sale.
