Early Northern Pacific Railroad Conductor\'s Step Stool:

Vintage, Original. These were placed in front of the passenger car doors to aid passengers with entering and exiting the train. Step is made of steel and weighs approx. 18 pounds. Step Stool measures 11\" Tall X 20 1/4\" Long X 18 1/2\" Wide. I am not sure if it is original paint, underneath bottom is Yellow and the rest is Red. On one side is the makers tag: Morton Manufacturing Company, Chicago. All rubber foot pads are in good condition. There is paint loss, paint flaking, paint chips, spots of surface rust.
