Up for sale is a much less seen long neck form English Mallet bottle circa approx 1720. A dug bottle with the typical wear and staining one would look for in early black glass bottles. Bottle has a three inch body and measures 4 1/4 inches across the base. Bottle stands approx 9 3/16 inches tall.
No damage to bottle other than some chipping to a portion of the string lip which is often seen on these early mallet and onion bottles due to the fact that most of these bottles were reused many times as a table bottle.
I have set a reserve on this bottle to protect my investment. The reserve is less than I purchased the bottle for and is under current market value.
Please contact me with any questions you have and be sure to check out my other bottles currently up for sale.
