This Eastman Kodak 8 x 10’’ No. 2-D view camera and lens are perfectfor the photographer who needs a large negative without paying many thousandsof dollars. This beauty is perfect for serious shooters, re-enactors, andanyone seeking the vintage look created by the Aplanat lens. It is also aquite handsome artifact of photo history when not in use.
The only items in this set that are not original are the bellows andthe lens mount ring. The mount is a custom machined aluminum threaded ring onthe camera’s original lensboard. There are two other original lensboardsincluded for the eventual buyer to mount his/her own lenses. Maintains originalnameplate and intact leather strap.
A new Wista or Toyo 8 x10’’ runs upwards of $4000, and that is without a lens! A replacement bellowsfor many 8x10’s would be at least $180 (and up!). This beautiful rig will getyou out there making images for significantly less.
