Edison Square Top Standard Automatic Reproducer Funnel Horn 4-Clip For Sale

Offered in this sale is an early Edison Standard 2-minute cylinder phonograph. This early style had the squared off cover and the suitcase style clips attaching the lid. It\'s not often that you find one still retaining the Automatic Reproducer. This machine shows typical signs of age and wear but shows nicely. The striping on the bedplate is worn in the usual spots. The oak case is pretty decent except for damage to 2 of the top corners on the lid as can be seen in the pictures. This can be turned around as the lid fits either way, too. Let\'s face it, you normally don\'t display the lid anyway. But it is nice to know you have it. The plating on the lid hardware is worn/discolored. The original crank has a broken ear on the end so someone many decades ago fabricated a sleeve to make it work again. The repair was creative and functional. The motor is very clean and runs very smooth and consistent. The Automatic reproducer is an original unit but has a new replacement throat front piece and new lift lever. Mr Steven Medved fully rebuilt this for me last year and it sounds great. The funnel horn looks great and period correct but make note that it is a reproduction part. It is a nice package and would compliment any phonograph collection needing an early Standard.
