A group of five Egyptian antiquities. The inscribed pottery shabti and the faience hawk on a wood stand are both ex Mustaki collection (see below). Sizes 6.5 to 4.5 cms.

Ex. Collection: Gustave Mustaki, Alexandria, Egypt; acquired mid 20th Century and exported under license of the Egyptian government.

Mustaki was a prolific antiquities collector, pieces from his collection are held by several major museums including the British Museum and Getty Museum.

The items being offered by Helios Gallery have remained in the Mustaki family and are being sold for the first time since their acquisition in Egypt.

The offer price is for everything in the photograph. All items have been acquired legally and in compliance with UK legislation and the code of conduct of the Antiquities Dealers Association (of which we are members). Most items derive from minor UK collections and small provincial sale dispersals. Where we have interesting provenance information such as a specific name or collection date it will be included in the description above. This lot is part of a large clearance of items from our stock cupboards which are over-flowing with items which have not made it to our Helios Gallery website, usually because the individual value is too low or an item is too damaged. Please study the photos and ask any questions before offerding - damage and repair clearly visible in the images is not mentioned in the condition report though I have mentioned anything such as concealed restoration which may not be considered obvious. This lot is being sold without reserve. There is no buy now price.
