Description A Very NiceElf STM/1
16MM Sound & Silent Cine Projector

Voltage is 240V 50Hz Only. Check your countries supply before buying.

I love a good Elf projector and this one comes up to the mark.

The ST range used a different type of cam tank (claw/intermittent mechanism)
than the later variations and many collectors (including myself) prefer these as
they are much quieter in operation. As with everything, the cam tank was later
changed to a cheaper, easier to manufacture unit but they also sounded a little
more clickety and I personally prefer the more subdued purring of the original.

With many 16mm projectors a 2 bladed shutter was fitted which, although
perfect for showing commercial feature films at 24 frames per second,
when wanting to view home movies filmed at 18fps it resulted in very
perceivable flicker. This projector will project films perfectly without flicker
regardless of their playback speed. This is definitely an added advantage
if attempting to do your own video transfers as it makes it easier for the
video camera to match up with the shutter frequency.

Supplied with
 1'600ft Take Up Spool
The original dust jacket. (Two small tears to the top opening)
20 Metre (66ft) Speaker Lead

In nice condition as can be seen in the photos and I'm sure
you will agree that it does look very attractive and presentable.

Perfect well balanced sound. The speaker is built into the projector cover for
positioning near the screen (or next to the projector if you choose).

The projected picture is rock steady and evenly lit from corner to corner.

I do not have the original instructions for this projector but I will include instructions
for a similar Elf Projector. The only real difference between the two machines is the
switch for operating the motor and lamp. On this projector there are 2 seperate flick
switches for motor and lamp whereas in the instructions it shows a rotary switch.

Don't forget to look at all the photos, you can click on them too to make them bigger.

 DESCRIPTION
A simple and efficient projector with easily accessible film path.
This projector is manual threading which means you have to
physically insert the film around the rollers and on to the take
up spool yourself as opposed to automatic threading.

TEST RESULTS
The noise level of the mechanism was as it should be and the image
on the screen was pin sharp, evenly lit and rock steady.

Focusing was precise and the framing adjuster operated as it should.
The take up spool wound the film correctly, as did the feed spool
when ran in reverse. Rewind also performed it’s task correctly.

NO Shipping to PO BOX Addresses

The courier rate varies from country to country and it is
impossible to list everyone. Please contact me for an
accurate price to your destination before purchasing.
Any overpaid shipping will always be refunded

International Buyers Note: Please contact me
for an accurate shipping price Payment Payment must be made within 3 days of sale Ending or Buy It Now without exception. Shipping I will ONLY ship to a fixed physical address. Definitely NO PO Box addresses.

Finding shipping prices for all the countries who might buy this item is an impossibility.
As such, I have intentionally over-priced the cost so that I can refund any over-payment.
This makes it easier because if I accidentally under-price the postage, I just know
there will be that ONE buyer who tries to hold me to it and threaten me with
negative response if I tried telling him the postage was slightly more.

I do NOT make money out of you on the postage and I never will.

If you want an exact price then please email your location and I can tell you the correct
amount. If the item is an sale item, remember that the higher the price it sells for,
the higher the postage amount is going to be because it will incur costs to
insure it against loss or damage.

As a rough guide, usually additional insurance is around 5% of the total item value.
For example; a £200 item weighing 4KG to USA might cost £25.00 plus additional
insurance of £10.00 (5% of £200). Total price £35.00

All I can assure you of is that nobody else here in the UK can ship the same item
for less than I will charge you. They might be cheaper if they don't include
insurance but there is no way I would ever send anything uninsured.

If you have purchased a heavy item that is to be sent by courier, please give me your
phone number as it will be required by the shipping company. Terms of Sale I spend a great deal of time producing each advert and take pride in them.
Films are watched in their entirity and frame grabs are taken to help you make an informed decision.
I believe that I am honest in my descriptions but please remember, you are buying film not a DVD or Bluray. Film has imperfections and occasional marks due to wear. This has to be taken into account at all times. If a film is damaged, scratched or has missing footage I will mention it in the listing. Also if the colour or sound is poor. The frame grabs will always show poor colour if a film has poor colour and are not doctored in any way.
Equipment is thoroughly tested and deemed in perfect working order at the point of sale, if otherwise I will always mention it or not even list it at all.
There is always some element of risk when buying a piece of electrical equipment 40+ years old and I cannot guarantee it once purchased. I am sorry but I am not your local Argos outlet.

Returns are not accepted because you do not like an item. One buyer opened a case against me because she did not like a Popeye cartoon and I refused to refund her. A negative was left for me (subsequently removed by ) and she stated I was a Bad Seller. This kind of behaviour is beyond the realms of belief but some people will try to push the boundaries.

I have noticed some international buyers occasionally give a low DSR rating for postage costs which totally bewilders me because I charge exactly what it costs. I actually think they are rating it this way as if they are filling out an independent survey based on their opinion of postage costs. Yes, we all think costs could be lower but don't penalise sellers for charging you what it costs us. A low DSR for postal charges should only be given if a seller charges you MORE than it would cost to send. If you think postal charges are expensive then don't buy from me, it's that simple. Contact Us Any questions should be asked BEFORE you offer on or buy my items.
Please do not start asking questions after you have won or purchased
an item, especially about cheaper postage etc.

Any queries can be sent by the messaging system. Pictures sell!
