Estate ~ GE Pancake Motor Brass Blade & Cage Fan Pat. Dates 1887 to 1901 For Sale

Really unusual, early pancake motor GE brass blade & cage fan measuring approx. 13-1/2\" diameter on the brass cage. The fan measures a total height of approx. 14-1/2\" tall. From base to top of motor measures about 12-1/2\" tall, the diameter of the base measures 7\". The base has rib like decorations with a pedestal stem. I see one or two on that have the ribbed base but theirs have a foot mine is a different model. I did find one exactly like this in someone\'s personal online collection. This fan is very heavy weighing in at 20.4 pounds as you see it here. I am not a fan expert just selling items from the barn that have been stored there for many years. This fan has Frankenstein like bolts that you attach the electrical wire to on the upper back of the motor. The blades spin freely. The writing around the brass collar in the center of the motor has the following information listed below it is difficult to read some of it~ take a look if you have any questions or require more photos please let us know.

This item is on our 5 day sale offer early so you are not disappointed we only have one like this!Condition: This is an antique fan so it naturally is considered used. Sold as is I am unsure if it works because no wire was found with it to try it out. The blades spin freely. There is a lot of dust on the black enamel body I wiped some off to ready the center panel information the rest needs to be cleaned when you get it home. It will clean up better than this! I will consider the photos part of our description. The brass cage has one spot where the wire pulled out of the connector but goes in easily if you want to put it in there and pinch it down. Nice piece an early model for GE. Certainly looks original walk around our photos.
