~ 1939 Pre War MAJESTIC TUBE RADIO - MODEL 7T11 ~

The Radio-Cafe is pleased to offer this incredible 1939 Majestic radio model 7T11, fully restored inside & out! Majestic really hit a homerun with this bold deco design that displays beautifully from any angle and can easily be the stand out radio of many radio collections! Not only did they design a fantastic looking cabinet and classy looks, but the insides were given the same attention as well, using a large speaker and 7 tube chassis for excellent audio and reception.

Other than the original backing having sections missing, it\'s obvious this radio was well taken care of throughout the years, having no cracks or chips (most have missing or cracked grille bars on this model and on the 651 model.) In order to keep what was left of the original backing, I preserved it by incorporating it with the heavy duty custom backing and loop Ant I fabricated in my shop. I also installed 6 NOS tubes, and will include the original boxes with the radio... (they make nice display pieces.)

Someone had previously replaced the grille cloth but used one that didn\'t go with the radio very well, so I decided to install an authentic gold weave (not reproduction) from my stock of original grille cloths. I also installed a crystal clear new dial lens from my molding dept and the dial scale looks gorgeous now! I decided on a red/brass majestic saturn dial pointer over the original black/white saturn dial pointer because it really makes the dial pop now! The only difference with these saturn pointers is the color, but the winner can have their choice of which one, not both. (sorry for the comparison pic, it still had the original cloudy dial lens... see last pic). I\'ve included 17 individual pics taken indoors and out for your viewing pleasure of the complete restoration, cosmetically and electronically.

~ CABINET ~

The crack & chip free cabinet is in excellent condition and has been professionally polished with my ALL natural process using NO sprays,finishing polish,polys,or any other artificial enhancers. It takes many hours through several stages to complete this natural process but when it\'s all said and done what you get is a pure natural bakelite shine.Whereas many fail to clean the fine dirt out of the grooves,edges,and other very hard to reach places... I go the extra mile and make sure every square inch is cleaned using special handmade tools,toothbrushes,and Q-tips. There are no quick oldphonydaze black sharpie tricks or shortcuts with my cleaning & polishing method... just lots of time vested and with plenty of elbow grease. I\'ve been restoring bakelite with this method long before was around, AND presenting my sales with the same photography presentation ,full restoration detail,and professionalism from day one. (my attention to detail and work ethic speaks for itself... I can guarantee that!)

~ CHASSIS ~

The restored electronics have been given the same careful attention as the cosmetics to insure excellent playability. I use only the best capacitors and replacement parts available and even show photos of my work so you know the level of quality that goes into the chassis work. As for the reception, this gem picks up plenty of AM stations across the dial and with excellent LOUD audio using the internal loop or external wire antenna(included).

Keep in mind, this antique vacuum tube radio is not a boom box,solid state radio,or any other modern type radio. It uses vacuum tube technology which can produce audio interference caused by many different things such as florescent lighting, energy saving bulbs,kitchen appliances,etc,etc... so placement of the radio is very important to avoid any possible audio interference. And like many other electronic devices,.. when not in use the radio should be unplugged to prevent any damage during electrical storms.
