F.A. Parker BLACK GLASS Ale Bottle PONTILED H Ricketts & Co. Glass Works Bristol For Sale

Here is a 8.625 inch tall, 3.875 inch diameter at base, very dark green glass - known to collectors as BLACK GLASS -ale bottle, blow in a 3-piece mold, with a large sand-chip type PONTIL on base, with an applied seal on the side which is embossed F.A. Parker. Circa 1821 to 1853, this one is embossed on base: H. Ricketts & Co. Glass Works Bristol. See pictures above. Extremely heavy, thick glass, wonderful form.

Great for the collector of black glass utility ale spirits bottle bottles.

Bottle displays near mint with just some light wear showing, but on the reverse side there is a flat chip on the heel and a 1.5 by 3 inch size repair - see close up pictures above.
