This is a beautiful antique art glass Louis Comfort Tiffany compote crafted around the turn of the century. The Favrile glass compote features an elegant Art Nouveau form. Favrile glass, invented by Tiffany, is known for the bold gold luster with iridescent highlights. Favrile is different from other iridescent glasses because its color is not just on the surface, but embedded in the glass. It is signed and numbered on the underside: L.C.T. Favrile, 1724. The compote also features the original paper label on the pontil mark. Condition: In overall very good condition. Light shelf wear to the underside of the base. There are a few shallow flakes associated with the rough pontil. There is one tiny flake to the scalloped rim (1.5 x 1mm). Wear to the paper label. This condition is consistent with age and use. Dimensions:6\" tall. The top and base diameter is 6\" and 4\" respectively. This superb compote is a fine example of the vision and expertise in the art of glass making by Louis Comfort Tiffany.

PayPal is the preferred method of payment. We can also accept Visa or MasterCard from domestic customers only. International customers must use PayPal.
Payment is expected within three (3) days from the end of the sale. If payment is not received within three (3) days, you may receive an Unpaid Item Notice from , which may result in a strike being placed on your user ID.
If you are planning to offer on additional items, please notify us. You have seven (7) days from the end of your first purchase to buy additional items. When you are done offerding and ready to check out all of your purchases will be consolidated into one order.
