If you are a lover of interesting and unusual vintage and antique jewelry, you\'ve come to the right place. I try to keep a nice mix of fine and costume pieces that range in age from 19th century Victorian to late 20th century vintage designer couture. I have a wonderful group of jewelry and decorative art up for sale this week. Please be sure to browse through all of the items and check back often as I will be listing heavily through the month of November. Up for sale is a lovely antique 19th century Meissen figural group. The group depicts Silenus seated on a donkey supported by Bacchus. A woman feeds the donkey grapes and a putto or cherub plays with his tail. The group is fairly large measuring approx 7 1/2\" x 4 1/2\" x 8\" tall. It is marked with the crossed swords mark on the underside and has the numbers 2724 incised. There is chipping to some of the grape leaves, something missing from Bacchus\'s left hand and an unusual spot on his stomach. I believe the tip of the donkey\'s tale has been repaired, and there is other minor chipping and wear consistent with age. The piece still display nicely as it is.
