This gorgeousartist reproduction of the large 21 inches tall French Fashion Ladydoll by Francois Gaultier is just wonderful. She is free of any chips, cracks, hairlines or damage.She has a swivel neck and bisque lower arms and legs. She is aone of a kind artistreproduction and onedone by the artist and not a mass produced numbered doll. The artistry is wonderful and as close to the original antique as you will find. She will fool even the most experienced doll collectors.She is done by the talented and well known doll artist Barbara Ota.I did some research and asked around the doll community to find out more about this very talented doll artist Barbara Ota. This is what I found out.... She wassuch atalented doll artist and heroriginalone of a kind dolls were so close to theoriginals that they were in such high demand that eventually she began to manufacture factory mass produced reproductions like that of Patircia Loveless Dolls. They were numbered mass produced factory made dolls of her one of a kind originals. What we have here is one of her early one of a kind originals, not themanufacturedbut actually one done by theartistherself. This makes this doll very special and this is why the artistry on this doll is so stunninglybeautiful. If you collect thesebeautifulartist dolls you will know just how special she is and appreciate the artistry andtalentedartistthat created her.She isbeautifullydressed in alavendergown adorned withbeautifullace throughout and also comes with under slip and panty bloomers. She has a Bustle, lace up corset and hoop under skirt with pretty shoes as well. She has a nice mohair wig with braided buns on each side and pretty antique lace draping over her head. She hasbeautiful high quality paperweight eyes and pierced ears with earrings.
